Chief Tony Amechi, Special Adviser to the Governor of Delta State on Investment, welcomed a delegation from Host. Com in Ndokwa Nation, led by Osita Ijomah, to his office in Asaba.
The delegation sought Chief Amechi’s intervention in the leadership crisis affecting Host. Com’s executive body in Ndokwa Nation.
They expressed concerns that the ongoing dispute had stalled the effective distribution of Host-community derivatives meant to benefit the oil-producing region.
In his characteristic diplomatic style, Chief Amechi warmly received the group and attentively listened to their grievances.
He stressed the importance of unity, transparency, and dialogue in resolving the conflict, emphasizing that cooperation was key to ensuring community development.
Reassuring them of his commitment to finding a lasting solution, he promised to engage relevant stakeholders—including government agencies, traditional leaders, and community representatives—to mediate the dispute and restore stability.
He underscored that the community’s resources were intended to uplift Ndokwa Nation and should not be hindered by internal disagreements.
The meeting ended on a positive note, with Chief Tony Amechi reaffirming his dedication to peace and sustainable development.
The delegation expressed their gratitude and optimism that his intervention would bring a lasting resolution to the crisis.
